Money Mindset ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Money Mindset iOS mobile application (the "App"), a gamified financial psychology education app developed by Reuben Schultz, an individual based in Australia. The App is available on the Apple App Store with Bundle ID com.wealthmind.wealthmind. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use the App. It applies to all users of the App, with specific rights noted for residents of the United States (including California under the CCPA), Australia, the European Union (GDPR), and other applicable jurisdictions.

By using the App, you consent to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

We collect only the information necessary to provide, improve, and secure the App. We do not collect location data, health or fitness data, real financial information, browsing history, or any data from other apps or websites. We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) or engage in cross-app or cross-website tracking.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with a clearly defined purpose and limited data access:

  1. Supabase (supabase.co) -- Provides backend database, authentication, and file storage for all user accounts, gameplay data, avatars, and purchases. All data is hosted in the Sydney, Australia region. Row Level Security (RLS) is enabled on every table to ensure users can only access their own data.
  2. RevenueCat (revenuecat.com) -- Manages all in-app subscriptions and purchases. It receives purchase data from Apple to verify entitlements and subscription status. No personal data beyond what is required for purchase verification is shared.
  3. Apple -- Processes all payments through the App Store and handles Sign in with Apple authentication. Apple receives only the information required for these services.
  4. Sentry (sentry.io) -- Provides crash reporting and performance monitoring. Only anonymized error data is sent; screenshots are disabled. Trace sampling rate is limited to 20% in production.
  5. DiceBear API (dicebear.com) -- Generates default avatar illustrations when requested. It receives only avatar style configuration parameters and no personal information or user identifiers.

5. Data Security

We implement reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational security measures, including encryption in transit and at rest (via Supabase), access controls, and regular security reviews. Supabase's Row Level Security and our backend architecture ensure data is isolated per user. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to provide the App's services, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your data from all Supabase tables, authentication records, and local device storage within a reasonable timeframe (typically within 30 days). Anonymized crash logs are retained by Sentry only as long as needed for debugging (usually 90 days or less). Aggregated, non-identifiable usage statistics may be retained indefinitely for product improvement.

You have the following rights, which you can exercise directly in the App:

8. Specific Privacy Rights

California Residents (CCPA/CPRA): We do not sell personal information. You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of any future sales (none occur). We do not discriminate against users who exercise these rights.

Australian Residents (Privacy Act 1988): You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles.

EU/EEA Residents (GDPR): Where GDPR applies, we rely on contractual necessity, legitimate interests, or your consent as legal bases. You have rights to access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction, portability, and objection. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data is primarily stored in Australia (Supabase Sydney region). Some service providers (e.g., RevenueCat, Sentry, Apple) are based in the United States or other countries. When data is transferred outside Australia or the EU, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms approved by relevant authorities.

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The App does not use cookies or web-based tracking technologies, as it is a native iOS application.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Policy in the App and updating the Effective Date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
